Guest guest
I agree. If my prescribing doctor had not retired I would be reluctant to post his name. He wrote the prescription based on our 20 year relationship and his knowledge of my reluctance to jump on every medication bandwagon that rolls by. He knows me and trusted my judgement, backing it up with his own review of the medication. If he were still working I would, however, ask him if he would mind if I gave his name to individuals looking for a new doctor to work with them on their MS. That is a lot different than posting his name and contact info. ----- Original Message ----- From: Landau low dose naltrexone Sent: Sunday, November 21, 2004 5:07 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Doctors and new patients Joyce, I understand that you're basically coming from a good place onthis, but it IS possible that there are people out there taking LDN whohad to convince their doctors and feel that the relationship is a littletenuous. Particularly if a doctor prescribed LDN reluctantly for thefirst time, s/he might want to see what effect it has on the patient. Idon't think it's fair to imply that people are being selfish.________________________________________________________________Juno Platinum $9.95. Guest guest
I just had to concurr with here. Our Canadian drs. while not looking over their shoulders for malpractice suits are being very careful anyway. A friend of mine couldn't get a prescription from my Dr. since she was from another area and couldn,t come back every month to be monitored, The Dr.s around here while being open to this, need to have a good relationship with their patients before prescribing Off label for them. And personally my results are less than stellar but others (with relapsing remitting) are doing better, I may not be in this good a shape even yet if my diet and suppliment regimen were not what they are. I just don't want to " queer " it for others so I will have to keep my Dr.s name to myself.Sorry.
