Guest guest
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. from your 4.4 post in digest number 2632 " I am living in the same world with relatives. My SIL has chronic fatigue / Fibro and I know that iodine would help her based on the testimonies here. But she won't do it because her doctor says she is fine. Yet she cannot work and sleeps all day and is up all night and pops pain pills like crazy. " I would like to suggest you give your SIL a book by Dr St Amand on FMS/CFS titled " What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia " . She may also be HG as about 33% of fibromyalgics are also HG. St Amand's book is an eye opener for anyone who has fms/cfs or has family members with it and would like to learn what's wrong with them and how to get well. Unfortunately your SIL situation is so common for people who do not have a physician who knows how to treat her correctly. Even sadder, there are very few doctors in this country who do. FMS/CFS is cyclical and as may be observed with your SIL, it goes from bad to worse over time. She can get well however by following St Amand's protocol. When I first heard of it I thought it was a bunch of hocus-pocus but fortuitously I was given his book as a present. Which brings me to your 4.1 post in digest number 2634 " I got the book for my birthday. People who want to give me things - give me books. Steph " I would like to give you a section of Dr St Amand's book that I had written to you about a month ago back list but never heard back from you. If you do not want me sending it to you, you can order it directly from: http://www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com/books & vids.htm When you wrote about your SIL that concerned me about your children as fms/cfs is hereditary and if your SIL is your husband's sister, then he has the genetic predisposition for it. If then, your children may have inherited it. Does your son or daughter get " growing pains " ? Thanks for all your hard work. Hope you can give your SIL an early holiday gift of " the " book for her. The pain pills she pops can have terrible side effects and can actually make her sicker and do absolutely nothing to get rid of her fms/cfs symptoms. If she's hypothyroid Iodine can help. A certain percentage of fibromyalgics are hypo but off hand I don't know the percentage. One learns from reading St Amand if you are fms/cfs you have an illness at the cellular level and practically nothing in one's body works well. Hence all of the many symptoms -- IBS, headaches, frequent bladder infections, foot problems, rashes, ear, nose and throat problems, carb intolerance and on and on. Dr St Amand has treated over 10,000 patients SUCCESSFULLY with his guaifenesin protocol. HTGH, Janet
