According to Dr Davil ... - " Researchers have determined that residents on the coast of Hokkaido eat a quantity of seaweed sufficient to provide a daily iodine intake of 200 mg a day " - " The vast majority of people, 98 to 99 percent, can take iodine in doses ranging from 10 to 200 mg a day without any clinically adverse affects on thyroid function. " 200mg is approx 30 drops of lugol http://www.lewrockwell.com/miller/miller20.html D 1 drop of Lugol = 6.25mg = 2 drops of Lugol = 0.1cc
Guest guest
Report on my son-in-law's overdose of iodine (2 droppersful) from his wife (my daughter): " He had a very runny nose all the next day and had to pee an excessive amount. He took the day off of work today because he was feeling a bit run down - that may or may not be from the overdose of iodine since he felt like he was coming down with something before the iodine. " What was interesting to me is that he had no hyper symptoms at all. I didn't really expect any. But some have expressed concern about possible hyper symptoms from iodine in the past on this forum. This story should put that concern to rest. So happy ending! Guest guest
I am really glad to hear he is ok! I kept thinking about him and wondering how he was doing! I was the one who thought perhaps he might experience hyper/bad detox symptoms - sounds like he had a few of the latter, but nothing serious. Very good to know!Marlena>> Report on my son-in-law's overdose of iodine (2 droppersful) from his > wife (my daughter):> > "He had a very runny nose all the next day and had to pee an > excessive amount. Guest guest
He probably had a massive detox the next day, massive evacuation of bromine, fluor etc... the why he was feeling run down Poff@paudes123 > > > > > > Hi, my son-in-law (33 years old, about 155 pounds) took 2 > droppersful > > > of 5% Lugol's tonight, instead of 2 drops. Guest guest
I don't think two droppers full is too much. I take one dropper full (I guess they are different sizes) of Lugols 4% and that is about 50mg which is the starting dose (I guess my dropper would hold about 20drops?? Usually I measure out 1mm into a medicine cup that's how I know). Two dropper fulls is only 100mg which I know many people on here take. I would say the best thing to do would be Vitamin C. 2000mg or more.
