Atenolol and Thyroid

I thought that Atenolol was one of the heart meds /beta blockers that was not recomended for thyroid patients

would someone correct me if i am wrong

Certainly lack of treatment or poor treatment for Thyroid is so widespread and the needless suffering that has gone on is unforgiveable

Yes you are right, Atenolol interferes with conversion of T4 into T3.

It is alright for those on T3 only meds though.

It lowers melatonin and CoQ10.
