Guest guest
Thanks for the info Colleen. I'm going to ask a silly question on this mercury thermometer I'm afraid........just to make sure the right link has been posted....it is a veterinary thermometer isn't it? It says the below on the description...... " Normal " temperatures for horse, cow, sheep, pig and dog listed right on the thermometer for easy comparison.....Just thought I'd double check before I started comparing myself to a horse! LOL )Kerry x They are now in as I received mine this week (only took about 6 days from USA!). Here is the link if anyone is interested and they cost £5 including postage!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem & item=230633526012 & ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Guest guest
Hi Kerry (my daughter's name too!!). Yes it is a vet thermemoter but no bigger than normal thermometer really .... I've just measured it and it is 5". As for temp on it, it goes from 35C up and is quite easy to read. "Normal" temperatures for horse, cow, sheep, pig and dog listed right on the thermometer for easy comparison..... I must admit I never saw this in the ad, but there is nothing else printed on the thermometer to confuse us - just the temp guage. I actually saw this link on TPA a few months ago myself and have been trying to get hold of a thermometer in the UK but with no luck. I didnt want to try elsewhere as you never know with thermometers - but as these were tried and tested by other members I waited for them to re-stock. I actually bought 2 myself as I have arthritic hands and am always dropping things. If I had ordered only one you can bet I would have dropped it within half an hour of trying to use it !!!! Guest guest
Hi Kerry SORRY you were right, I just checked the ad and the thermometer and it does state animals temp! Such small writing alongside the makers name I didnt read it as I thought it was address or something!! Anyway, you are not going to use it on animals as well are you - hopefully!! It is so cheap for a mercury thermometer anyway and one that we can actually buy, I just thought I would mention that they are in stock now. Guest guest
Hi Colleen, That's really helpful, thank you. If it makes you feel any better...I ordered a rather expensive basal thermometer from the states, opened it, looked at it for about 5 seconds & then.....dropped it! I don't have arthritis, (yet) so I put it down to my foggy hypo state....I was mortified when it happened so I'm delighted that you've posted up this link!
