As we are not allowed to mention doctors names in full here (unless we are

talking about a book they have written I have edited your message by just using

their initials. Members please note you can, of course, contact Ann privately

to discuss the relevant doctors and their names.

Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me whether it is o.k. to take natural armour thyroid

(which I have ordered via the internet)with anti-depressants. I take

262 mg of Venlafaxine an SSRI and 1 & a half mg of Risperdal to sleep

at night. I am still waiting for an endocrinologist consultant to

return from his holiday, now I have found out that it won't be until

next Monday (I have already waited over a week) then its Christmas,

then New Year and all the time I just want to feel o.k. The consultant

is on the list that is on this web site, it is Dr. E at Harlow

in Essex, has anyone been to him that can give me any advice or

information, I would be grateful if you could.

I have read other peoples replies regarding the sub-clinical HypoT and

it seems that some docs. have different opinions to others, maybe I

should try a different doc. at the surgery I go to, this particular

one I saw (Dr. A) is probably the worst, he has refused to send me

for a n X-ray on my back in the past (I got one in the end by seeing

another doc. there) he refused to help my mother when she continued to

have nose bleeds, and another time he refused to help me because

another doc. at the surgery spoke to me first regarding whatever it

was I went there for, and he refused to give me any more anti-biotics

when I had a urinary infection and still had adverse symptoms. I was

thinking about complaining about him but don't feel well enough to do

this sort of thing at the moment. So I think that I have learnt that

even if I am on my death bed, don't go and see Dr. A. There is

another nicer doc. there so maybe I could go and see him and talk

about my TSH being over the range and see if he has a different

opionion?!

I look forward to any replies.

Ann
