Guest guest
The negative comments arise out of our well earned cynicism. The CRABS drugs were all highly praised, offered as very promising, yet few of us know anyone who really does well on them and is satisfied with their quality of life while using them. The side effects are minimized when reported in journals etc but for the people experiencing them there is nothing minimal about them. And this new one has been pushed through clinical trials with no tests of any real duration yet. We all know that MS can play games with us, quiet for several months or years, then active for whatever time period. I question the validity of a short trial of any med used for MS, (including LDN) and also feel concern about the long term effects of any med that is going to be released with such brief studies. It isn't as though this is being rushed because it CURES the disease and returns you to normal. The claims are similar to the previous high cost meds - reduction in exacerbations. So are a lot of us cynical? Yep, and with what I believe is good reason. There is a lot of money to be made here, and a very vulnerable group of people available to be taken advantage of. This is the first new drug approved for MS since 1996. Any new treatment option is welcome.
