Guest guest
Thanks Tracey I signed, yes everyone must be able to make a choice. There is a distinct tendency toward a Big Brother state going on, it seems to be evolving from the nanny state now. lotsa luv Dawnx
Guest guest
Hi Tracey, I too worry about the mercury in the preservative added to vaccines. This really is the horns of a dilemma. Those of us in the older generation before these vaccines were available can remember suffering the dire consequences of measles- and measles can be fatal- my OH wears glasses as a result of measles, and to this day I remember lying in bed ill and itching as a child, fortunately I recovered OK. The result of not vaccinating will be future epidemics which can do no one any good. Stenning Subject: Petition against forced vaccinations - ends tomorrow! http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/forcedvaccines/ Thought readers of the board might be interested in this, especially as we need to avoid exposing ourselves and children to mercury. Given my family history I argued with the GP not to have my children vaccinated. I believe everyone should have a CHOICE! Tracey ------------------------------------ TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
I got the worst of both worlds as I was unlucky enough to contract the very diseases I was vaccinated against! Measles, German measles and whooping cough. As the same thing happened to my sisters 10 years later (they escaped measles)I had wondered whether there was something in our genetic make up for this to happen - we couldn't ALL have been unlucky surely? As an adult I also lost the use of my arm for several months following a tetanus vaccination. Such things did cause me to ask questions and to avoid having my own kids vaccinated. My daughter DID receive the 1st set of vaccines because a stupid health visitor had told me unvaccinated kids were barred from attending nursey and playgroups. Der! Worryingly my daughter suffered a reaction and her development regressed. She seemed to have difficulty sussing out how to breastfeed, when she'd not had any trouble before, and for several weeks she did not have much facial expression nor did she appear to recognise me. It scared the s*it out of me at the time as I was convinced she'd become retarded. Fortunately it was a temporary thing, though she did develop asthma around then and she has it to this day. I was not prepared to take any further risks and valued the knowledge that there was a choice. The anti-vaccination health- scares actually broke out after I had already made my decision and I am horrified by all the information which has since come out about vaccine preservatives. I am aware that as more people say no to vaccines, there will be more chance for the old diseases to re- establish. Rather than forcing a vaccination program, the government would be wiser to address the issues surrounding vaccine safety. Injecting our kids with mercury and aluminium is only creating health problems for the future - so WHY do it?? Also, more resources need to be directed into preventing the spread of treatment-resistant TB which is set to be the true epidemic of the future.
