Guest guest
Dear Friend of ASO: Information on the EPSDT, Medicaid’s child health component, known as the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) program. This service is available to any child in Ohio with a Medicaid Card. This includes children on Ohio's Home Care, Transitions, IO and Level 1 Waivers. The US Department of Health and Human Services has just come out with new information: http://www.hrsa.gov/epsdt/overview.htm Thanks to the ARC of Ohio for sharing this information with us. Guest guest
So where does this leave the parents of autistic children that need ABA covered? I know there was a court case decided that ABA was " medically nessecary " in Lucas County last year establishing this and we were informed that we should be requesting this services through this program but were denied by the Healthcheck Cordinator of OH..... Does anyone have any other knowledge or thoughts on this???
