Great exchange of info! Have you seen the gizmos they sell with a tube

attached to your head which you move thru a series of exercises to clear the

vertigo? Sorry, can't remember what they are called.

Corinna-thanks for your interest. I had the flu and it affected my inner ears-an

inflammation of the inner ears. I had an MRI and everything looked great... No

sinus infection. Wish it was that 'simple'. Anyway I'm feeling a lot better and

am able to exercise again but still can't drive.

Do you have vertigo constantly? Is it bad? Can you drive? How about at night? Do

you find it hard to sleep?

Morning, Jantje;

Sounds like you are doing great.

Spring was here in northern Alberta but winter came back for a visit this

week. Snow and high winds. Back on the treadmill! Managed 9.4 km yesterday,

but that was after taking Wed. & Thurs. off. I work Tues.,Wed, Thurs. & I'm

so pooped I find it very hard to exercise on those days.

Have a great weekend!

I open my heard to you in respect and recognition of your journey.

Hey all!

I went to a spin class during my lunch break. Because I was really busy at work,

I had to skip Swim Practice on Wednesday but managed to do 20 min of Abs

exercises before leaving for work. Yesterday, instead of making a trip to the

candy machine I went for a 30 min walk to clear my head and then went back to

the project I was working on. So, today felt really good to get moving again.

You all really are an inspiration!

Spring is finally coming to Sweden, so I will start to run outside again. Maybe

tomorrow?

Cheers!

Hey wynn... where do you live and you still have snow!!? Yuck!

I live in greece and we have had a beautiful winter and gorgeous spring weather.

I have been laid up in the house for weeks and am sooo looking forward to

getting out again. You can be sure that I will be getting out and exercising

with a very grateful attitude that I may not have had a few months ago!

As I have been listening to 's podcasts (since the last of Nov) I have

sort of lost interest in the scales and have concentrated more and more on

eating right and working out but without obsessing. My main intent now is to

sculpt my body (mind you I have a ways to go! :-)  But it's so much more fun

concentrating on that than stepping on the scale every morning and feeling

frustration again and again.

if you want any suggestions let me know or we could maybe set up a plan and do

some stuff on the same days. Any support/encouragement I can get is always

welcome :-) and I'd LOVE to help in any way I can!!!

Thanks sooo much for the challenge and the encouragement.

of course it counts constance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting up off the couch and

moving counts. :-)

I think we should post our exercise (any exercise) and celebrate the fact that

we found time and did something good for ourselves.

Just found another wonderful e-mail from you. Greece! Lucky you, alathough I

guess the economy is pretty scary right now.

I live in northern Alberta, Canada. We always have a spring storm and I'm

hoping this was it and we can get on with better weather.

I started listening to about the middle of March. I too have decided

to stop weighing. Haven't lost anything yet but I am so much more

comfortable with my eating. I am pretty much vegetarian but have relied on

prepared foods for way to long. Moved to a new town 4 years ago and for 6 or

the last 8 years my husband has been working away from home, only home every

2nd weekend. My 2 kids moved out about 8 years ago, so cooking pretty much

went out the window. Eating did not. I have gained 35 pounds in the last 5

years, even tho for the most part I exercise a lot. Just eating out of

boredom and loneliness has wreaked it's havoc. No self-esteem left. And

which comes first, the self-esteem or the desire to exercise? Something I'm

really grappling with. Used to go to the gym 5-6 days a week. Now I think

about working out at home (I have everything I need) but I can't get there.

Running is becoming almost as much of a struggle, even tho I really do love

it and it makes me feel a little special to pretend I am a runner.

I have worked out for years. My daughter, who is a personal trainer, is

always on me to take the certification to become one myself. I'm 59, weigh

180 at 5'5 " and feel too old & fat to try it. I certainly know what to do

and how to do it, but I'm just too stuck at the moment.

If you let me know your routing, maybe it will help me to get started. I

would really appreciate hearing what you are doing down there is the land of

feta cheese and honey!

I open my heart to you in respect and recognition of your journey.

Of course walking counts! Everything counts! We just want you to start

moving some way, any way so that you will soon start to consider yourself an

exerciser. We need your encouragement and participation as much as you need

ours.

Walked and jogged on treadmill- 6 kilometers! Yipeeeee.....

Haven't been feeling so good today. Vertigo is back and I am so tired of it!!!

I really felt like eating for comfort, eating for entertainment but at the same

time I really didn't feel like it. Ate a few things that I hadn't intended but

all in all nothing that would even half way be considered a binge.
