Women's Issues

I am writing an article about issues that women with hepatitis C (HCV)

face. I am particularly interested in hearing from women who are

dealing with childbearing issues.

For instance, when thinking about having children, what are your

feelings about pregnancy and having HCV? If you have considered

treatment, what are your thoughts on the idea of getting HCV treatment

first, then pregnancy versus pregnancy first, then treatment? If you

delayed pregnancy because you opted for treatment first, how did that

work out?

If you are a mother who knew she was HCV+ prior to pregnancy, I'd

really like to hear from you. What issues did you face during

pregnancy? Do you know the status of your child? What is/was it like

waiting to find out about your child's HCV status? Talk about your

feelings if your child is HCV+. Do you have any advice for women who

are in similar situations?

I am a nationally-recognized writer, specializing in HCV issues. I am

a nurse and I have HCV. You can check out my credentials at

If I use material from you, I can change your name or use your first

name – your choice. If you email me directly, I can promise

discretion. I can't promise that if you post to a community forum

since your responses will be public.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider my request.
