Hi Anne

re your post about hiatus hernia and cutting out your dairy: I suffered from exactly the same plus plain reoccurring acid stomach up to and after my hypo t diagnoses.I don't know the reason why the two often go hand in hand, that is ,excess acid production and hypo t, but I changed to an alkaline diet and it made a huge difference for me.I now bang on to everyone who will listen about the joys of eating a mainly alkalising diet.I think it's just another way of supporting ourselves whilst trying to get well - so I would thoroughly recommend giving up the dairy and all other acid forming foods ( I think that the list that I posted is still on the chat site if it's of any help)..
