Hi Anne

- some people have an almost immediate effect when taking levothyroxine where

as with others, they have to wait some time and they have enough T4 in their

system to keep them going for quite a while, however, you are obviously one who

needs your daily dose and without it you feel pretty rough.  Don't put yourself

through this, take half your thyroxine as recommended by Dr Peatfield and let's

hope that puts things right. However, under the circumstances, I can see no

point in waiting 7 days and would start your Nutri Adrenal Extra today. I hope

you get your energy back as soon as possible, but let us know how you get on.

Are you taking Selenium 200mcgs daily, Vitamin C (at least 1000mgs daily)?

Luv -

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

I saw Dr P last weekend and stopped my 125mcg of

Thyroxine on Mon, this is day 4 without, I was hoping I would be able to

manage with working my normal 2 days and be ok, but yesterday was SUCH a

struggle, so am expecting pretty much the same today. Just wanted to

lie down and sleep by lunchtime (in bed by 8pm, same as Wed) He

did say I could restart Thyroxine at half dose if I missed it, but my query

is this, should I start the NAX before going back on half Thyroxine whilst

my body has less of it instead of waiting until day 7 as instructed. I

am taking other supplements as per Dr P. I will have a quieter day at work

today, but my head already feels like I have a migraine coming (which he said

was down to such slow metabolism) so any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Anne

Thanks Sheila for that, I thought that might be the case !!!

I am taking 2gm of vit c now & upping to 4 over next couple of weeks, also continuing with 400mg of magnesium, but no mention by Dr P of selenium, though I do have some as I used to take it, cos it's good for thyro patients...

Thank you, should have a better weekend now

Bless you

Anne
