Guest guest
We have written ours off for the last two years... our ABA provider works under a licensed psych..not sure if that would make a difference if your consultant is or not. Additionally we wrote off tutors, and materials as well. The tutors were written off both via 1099 and via some type of medical/educational expense. Materials were medical. We also wrote off her diet GFCFSF as well. And all mileage to and from all appt's (pt, ot, st, preschool) Adds up after while...I think we had about 11,000 miles last year. > > Hi everyone, > > I am posting this message to see if anyone can help answering. > > We have about 5000 dollars of ABA payments last year. I need to know > if those payments can be regarded as medical expenses in the income > tax return. According to the language in the IRS publication 502 > http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p502.pdf , it seems that ABA payments > should qualify for medical expenses even though they are not paid to > doctors or hospitals. > > Does anyone have any experience in this?
