Guest guest
I love walnuts and macadamia nuts. Good to know I can eat them for one of the snacks. So is this 3 small meals and 3 small snacks? Is that the idea of 6 eating times? Guest guest
Thank you. Now I know why I alwayswant to put them in my salad if I haven't already had them that day. " SUPER-FOODS " NUTS AND SEEDS Hi ALL, well for today I did my list of Nuts and seeds. They are in order of preference for health, and consider which are best in several ways: Best at lowering LDL, Highest omega-3, highest fiber, highest antioxidants, highest monounsaturated fats. Best at top of list. .....AND... the winners are: WALNUTS PUMPKIN SEED MACADAMIA Pecan Almond Hazelnut Pine nuts Sesame seeds The upper case ones are super duper ones. Macadamia is not listed beneficial on blood type, just neutral, but it has the best other features so I promoted it to uppercase along with beneficials. So that is my nuts and seeds list for this health plan. I plan to use this list a lot, which is why I did it first. A handful of nuts makes an excellent snack for one of my six eating times. It is also portable, and not needing heating or refrigeration or preparation, and it includes all the relevant protein, good fats, and carbohydrates for balance. How cool is that. TIPS: * Nuts need to be purchased raw and unsalted and untoasted to keep their freshness, and in small batches so they are always fresh. * Once purchased, they can be eaten as they come - which is best * or baked/roasted, and then tossed with ground red pepper and thyme. * Whole nuts are better than nut butters as the latter are too easy to overindulge. * One serving is whatever you pick up with one hand once. Time to go nuts! Namaste, Irene -- Irene de Villiers, B.Sc AASCA MCSSA D.I.Hom/D.Vet.Hom. P.O. Box 4703 Spokane WA 99220. www.angelfire.com/fl/furryboots/clickhere.html (Veterinary Homeopath.)
