We need thousands of signatures to enable us to lobby medical boards throughout the world and to back up our recent " Complaint on the Unfair Trading Practices of Endocrinology and the Guidance of Practitioners " which has now been passed to the Governments Trading Standards Office for investigation. In order to help yourself and the millions of hypothyroid sufferers throughout the world, please will you sign both and ask your family and friends to sign them too. It is with sadness that we learn that the committee of Thyroid UK have decided they will not back these petitions and will not put a link to either on their website or in their Newsletter unless they " feel that particular petitions have a good chance of doing some good, such as the Welsh Assembly Petition " and they have decided that our petitions apparently do not have a chance of doing some good. I find it appalling that they are denying their members the opportunity of possibly helping themselves and helping fellow sufferers throughout the world. That old saying comes to mind: " The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing " (attributed to Edmund Burke).
