Guest guest
Since peanuts are a no no you may want to rethink that. But, it I remember correctly, Arugula gave my green smoothies a peanut flavor. Guest guest
Irene, Your right, it probably should be fruit/protein shake. The almond butter has only 6 g of protein per 2 tbsp. The ENER G brand of Pure Rice Bran in my recipe has 10g of protein per 1/2 cup, but 19 grams of dietary fiber. Seems like the fiber may help me deal with all of the fruit without having a problem with blood sugar. I also like the powder which has a considerable amt more of protein and I occassionally substitute it when it's on sale amd use it to thicken spagetti sauce, soup etc. Do you use it for anyting I am not thinking of? I add it to lattes. I also carry it with me and just drink it in a bit of hot water if I need an emergency quick protein boost, and though the later is NOT yummy, it works if I end up somewhere with no protein of my style handy:-) SORRY TO BE LATE ANSWERING BUT I've been snowed in badly. We had 30 inches of snow (PREVIOUS RECORD HERE 13) and low temps of minus 18 plus lots of wind to make it much colder (previous record minus 6). today I finally dug out enough to go get medications, food, etc, despite the additional 9 inches last night - and it is still snowing at about 2 inches an hour. Scuse my caploc, I am not used to the new glasses I have. Looks like my Xmas trip is of, no airport function (snow drifts blow over the roads and runways right behind the plows), I had hoped to fly to my sob for Xmas/New year and watch my 5th grandchild be born:-) Happy Holidays/Xmas/Solstice/whatever!!! to all, Namaste, Irene -- Irene de Villiers, B.Sc AASCA MCSSA D.I.Hom/D.Vet.Hom.
