Guest guest
Hi, Carole ....for some time I have been suffering a range of symptoms which would seem to indicate hypothyroidism (I can tick just about every symptom on the various lists I have seen online). Welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of support on here from people who share your problem.......After considerable research I approached my GP and he took blood tests which came back as normal!! I was devastated as you can imagine. I just want to feel better. Read everything...."normal" test results don't necessarily mean you don't have thyroid problemsThat was six months ago but as things have progressively worsened I have gone back to my GP to try to get help. I have seen 2 different specialists, one a gynaecologist and the other a general physician and both have come back with normal thyroid function tests. What was revealed was abnormal liver function tests but after follow up tests they seem to have returned to normal. I am due to have a follow up consultation but the two of them seem to have no answers.GPs etc generally don't understand thyroid/adrenal problems. They don't get the training.......a specialist endocrinologist and would welcome referrals from any one who knows one in the North West of England. Me too! I live in the North West and have drawn a blank on that one sorry. You'll see that many of us have looked for advice elsewhere and personally I can recommend Dr P...the only medical professional who has ever listened and understood and helped me get better. You are in the right place now and with the advice and support on this site, you will get better! Guest guest
Hi Randy, I have been under the care of Dr. ph H Brewer. He diagnosed me in 1987. I began Gamma Globulin IV,s about 1991 and still do them once a month. Dr. Anne Warner, a Rheumotologist is giving me the IV, she has an infusion center. There is a Dr. Abdu who is very well known, in her group, and he treats many CFIDS patients. The Gamma has given me energy and prevented me from getting so many infections. If you have any more questions feel free to email me any time. Carole ..? Hi Carole Hi Carole, If you don't mind me asking who is your Dr. in KC? and have they done any good for you? I have been on the waiting list for a Dr. for 11 months now and will see them this week finally, just wondering your experiences in KC? Thanks, Randy Re: Cleaveland Clinic???? workup Posted by: " C3814@... " C3814@...
