Hi Kathy, I have been taking Lugol's since Sept. I just recently

began putting my drops in empty veggie caps that I bought at Whole

Foods Market, because I don't like the taste of iodine. Maybe that

will help you?

Does Lugol's stain teeth?

Could someone please help me? I have checked the files and have not found the answer to my questions. Some of my friends are interested in the use of iodine, but are concerned that their teeth not turn orange or brown color. 1. Does liquid Lugol's stain the teeth? If so, how does one get rid of the stain?2. Is the use of an OTC tooth whitener safe to use once in a while for stains?3. I personally haven't had any staining. But if you are worried about it, try drinking your liquid containing Lugol's through a straw. Kathleen

I have seen this mentioned from time to time here, but am wondering if taking Lugol's everyday has any staining effect on teeth. I am considering switching from Iodoral to Lugol's and am curious about this.
