Pre-eclampsia/Hypothyrodism link?

Hi,

I have an infomative book 'The Complete Thyroid Book' by Ain &

M Sara Rosenthal. This is very helpful and informative as a general

guide but no substitute for real life human experiences as I am

learning on the forum. I had severe pre-eclampsia during both my

pregnancies back in 1982 and 1984 requiring hospitalisation. I

understand from this book that I could possibly have been sub

hypothyroid at this time of my life, although this was never mentioned

or suggested to me. (I was not diagnosed with the disease until

February this year!) I wonder if I have actually had a 'silent version'

of thyroid disease all these years? Does anyone have any thoughts on

this?
