Hi fragrance

Remind me of your thyroid function tests again as I can't seem to find the original message. Have you spoken to your GP regarding your thoughts about this. Have you had your Creatine phosphokinase checked. I doubt it is this, but it is always best to make sure. Your thyroid function tests would have to be way out of the range I think to really suspect this could be the cause of your problem. I suspect you need T3.

Hoffman's syndrome: pseudohypertrophic myopathy as initial manifestation of hypothyroidism. Case report.Vasconcellos LF, Peixoto MC, de Oliveira TN, Penque G, Leite AC.University Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. luizneurol@...The frequency of myopathy in hypothyroidism ranges from 30 to 80%. The major symptoms related are weakness, muscular cramps and myalgia. The pseudohyperthrophic form is called Hoffman's syndrome. The electrophysiological study reveals myopathy, neuropathy or mixed pattern. Laboratorial investigation generally shows increased levels of muscle enzymes and low serum thyroid hormones, with thyrotrophic-stimulating hormone (TSH) elevated. The treatment consists in hormone replacement and the prognosis is good in most of the cases. We report an adult male who developed muscular cramps, myalgia, weakness, pseudohyperthrophy, associated with facial edema and alteration of his voice. The muscle enzymes were increased and T4 was undetectable with a raised level of TSH. The myopathy was the initial manifestation of hypothyroidism in this case.Publication Types:

Hoffmann syndrome with Hypothyroidism, muscle problems?

Hi, there.

I just read about that topic, Hoffmann Syndrom, which caused by Hypo, and I suspect that my stiff jaw and weak tailbone pertain that syndrome.

Here is the link for it Hoffmann Syndrome

For this syndrom, Serum creatine kinase (CK) can be an indication of mythopy.high levels of muscle enzymes

I searched in this group but found nothing, what are you opinions about it?
