Guest guest
My son has been eating hair since he was one years old. Every year, I start to worry about the implications of this. We just had his stomach x-rayed to make sure he hasn't gotten a ball of hair collected in his stomach. I have NEVER found another parent that deals with this. We have tried everything to help him stop. He can't chew gum 27/7. I use to think it was a deficiency of some vitamin and mineral. We have had test done to make this inconclusive. Now that he is nine, he tells me that he likes the feel of it in his mouth, We are currently just trying to see if we can get him to take it out before he swallows it. My son has anxiety issues and sensory issues. I just wanted to post to see if ANYONE can relate. Sometime it feels like your child is the only one that does something unusual. I wouldn't be all that concerned, except of the health risks. Kiersten
