In our ongoing efforts to provide training and information to local families below and attached is the flyer and registration form for the waiver & autsim scholarship workshop, March 24 in Norwalk, Ohio. MRDD/OHIO MEDICAID WAIVER & AUTISM SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP Saturday, March 24, 2007 Huron County Department Job & Family Service 190 Shady Lane, Norwalk Ohio Entrance A 8:00-4:30 Ever wonder what a Waiver is or how it could benefit your child or family member? Tonks, Executive Director of The Arc of Ohio will explain what a Waiver is, how to get one and what services are available though a Waiver and Medicaid. He will also explain the new services available to those who already have a Waiver and your Rights, as well as the latest news from Columbus Debra Plaza from the Ohio Department MRDD will discuss what the Ohio waitlist is, how it works and what to do if you need help now. Kim Donicka from ODJFS Health & Community Service will present information on the Medicaid waiver and CORE services. What they are, how to apply for them and what you can do with them. Sogan from ODE Office for Exceptional Children will present on the Ohio Autism Scholarship. Learn what it is, where and how to apply, what you can do with it and how to write it in the IEP.
