Guest guest
Or digestion. If you're in poor condition, the digestion of that first thing in the morning may drag you down. It could kick in the hypoglycemia. It could be because you had some last night. Try a vege omelet for breakfast and see what happens. No milk or cheese but just a little butter to cook it in. Guest guest
It could be the banana. ________________________________ From: Debra <mermaideeee@...> Sent: Thursday, December 18, 2008 5:30:28 AM Subject: Morning Bread I woke up with a lot of energy which I thought was a good sign after eating a small slice of the banana bread made with spelt last night. As I said, I was slightly tired when I ate it last night so it was hard to tell if it made me tired, but I did not feel the need for a nap. Well, I had a very small slice of the banana bread with a small dab of butter for breakfast. I immediately got tired. I feel the need for a nap. Is it hypoglycemia? Is it the butter? Or the spelt? Guest guest
Debra, Just a tiny bit of butter will put me down. I've checked it out a few times and it isn't worth swallowing, at least for me. Guest guest
Now I don't know whether it was the butter or spelt. I threw the bread away. I did read though that folks most folks with wheat allergies can't handle spelt either. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of bluequilter1 Sent: Thursday, December 18, 2008 2:57 PM Subject: Re: Morning Bread Debra, Just a tiny bit of butter will put me down. Guest guest
Debra, I was allergic to wheat several years ago and ate spelt on a regular basis. It didn't seem to bother me back then, however, I guess I ate too much of it, or ate it too often as I got so I didn't tolerate it either. Giving up all the grains has been no easy task. But, I feel sooooo much better and am reasonably sane most days, so it is worth it. MM -- In , " Debra " <mermaideeee@...> wrote: > > Now I don't know whether it was the butter or spelt. Guest guest
how about protein? if you don't have some protein for breakfast you're setting yourself up for a drop in blood sugar, fatigue and sleepiness. Have morning meat or eggs. ...... I had a very small slice of the banana bread with a small dab of > butter for breakfast. I immediately got tired. I feel the need for a nap. Guest guest
Well, I've cut out sausage for breakfast but my reaction was so sharp and I had hayfever symptoms today as well: headache, itchy eyes. So this makes me think maybe it is the wheat. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Gretchen McPherson Sent: Thursday, December 18, 2008 7:42 PM Subject: Re: Morning Bread how about protein? if you don't have some protein for breakfast you're setting yourself up for a drop in blood sugar, fatigue and sleepiness.
