Guest guest
Hi Sheila and everyone, well I went and saw my new endo today and he was very nice and did actually listen to me.He completely accepted that I was intolerant to Levothyroxine and said that he was quite happy about me being on the Armour. And, at last he had a T3 result for me (only took five months)...... TSH 2.50 range 0..27 - 4.20 T4 10.08 range 12.0 - 22.0 T3 3.8 range 4.0 - 7.8 so my T4 and T3 is still too low.I explained to him that every time I try and increase my Armour that I go hypa and he accepted too but said that I must have an increase.I than showed him my basel temp chart and suggested my adrenals may be to do with it (plus how I'm under a lot of stress because of my son) but, no surprise, he wasn't having any of it and just referred to the hospital adrenal test, which of course was o.k.It was funny really because my temp chart shows a steady 36.4C until the day I started NA when it rockets up to 37 +C. When I asked him what accounted for this then, he just went blank and couldn't give me an answer. You would think anyone, let alone an endo would be at least a little fascinated by that evidence wouldn't you ??? Anyway, he has given me a scrip for T3 and said that I could try this for a week to see if I get a better response but, he would prefer that I try a little longer with the Armour, and in the light of this he is sending me for more tests to see what could be hampering my efforts .... 25-OH Vit D (what's this), full blood count, FSH, LH .... can you explain these please ? I asked him if he would prescribe me Armour on the NHS and he said that he will ask the pharmacy if they stock it and ask his superior to o.k it ......crikey,you never know eh ?!? thanks for all your help with my visit today, julia
