Guest guest
In tracking down the results of a peripheral metabolism study at NIH, I was chatting with one of the staff who did have a bad experience with T3. It would leave her quite tired at about the time she should leave work. I think that there was something else going on, but after some time she weaned herself from T3 and then went for a larger dose of T4 -- 100 mcg/day. Nothing that I know fits this scenario. Although I do have some suspicians. There are enzymes that work with T3 in the cells -- perhaps she was in short supply of them, but that does not explain the being normal on an increased dose of T4. Ideas? One thing that I do know, is that this realm is far more extensive than what is seen in the books and articles. So far I can not imagine enough tests to nail down the flow through every path that these hormones take. There is one thing for sure, the current batch of (TSH, fT4, and antibodies) is even less informative. Have a great day,
