Guest guest
For me, I think it is important to make a plan and organize. A list of do's and a list of don'ts so you don't have to try to remember when you are shopping. Buy only the do's so there are no don'ts around to have to resist. Find some do things for treats/rewards. Find as things compatible to both types. How old are the kids? If they are young, now is the best time to retrain there eating choices! Take a stand and know that you don't want to keep *poisoning* yourself and your kids. Then, when you feed yourself right, you will see the reward of better health. This ER group is good for ideas and encouragment but you have to become strong and sure of yourself and make it happen. Guest guest
I didn't find it easy - and still don't, but am getting better. One thing I have found really helpful is that right from the start I started making myself eat walnuts - not a taste I have ever liked - but now I have altered my taste through making myself eat them every so often, and they are a really useful snack now and v. good for you. I also find when I want something naughty, a raw carrot or stick of celery both satisfies and curbs the craving. It's really about reprogramming your thinking, and making sure you have a variety of good stuff on hand and then it is just keeping on trying to make sure you always take more steps forward than back, and recognising what causes which symptom and that makes it easier to walk away from the temptations if you know how bad it made you feel last time. Good luck
