My hubby is an attorney...and I know that it is really hard to find anyone to take a divorce case without a significant retainer. When you add the custody issues, these things can easily cost $5,000-10,000-$15,000-$20,000 depending on how much fighting is going on. Most legal aid attorneys do that type of work because they want to help others. They are definitely not in it for the money. I can tell you that some of the newer attorneys are a lot more zealous than the seasoned ones. My advice is don't assume that a newer attorney isn't going to do a good job for you. We are in Lorain County, and I don't know anything about any attorneys or resources in Twinsburg, but I found this on the web: http://www.communitylegalaid.org/ .
