Why you should sign the petition

You should sign the petition for three reasons: First, your own

health. Second, the health of all those others on this forum.

Third, the health of the estimated 200,000 Brits, a million

Americans, and millions more around the world.

Even more, you should sign the petition to give health security to

all those who have managed somehow to get proper therapy -- like

Sheila and my wife.

On this morning's walk (both my collie and I need exercise) my mind

drifted to a biography of a British WWII fighter pilot name Bader.

It seems that Bader lost both legs in a pre-WWII crash. But when

WWII began, he begged your airforce officials to allow him to

fight. He was in the midst of the defense of Britian during the

Blitz. Eventually, he was shot down over Nazi held territory and

captured by the Germans. In a humanitarial act, the Germans

arranged with the British for a replacement leg to be parachuted so

that Bader would not have to drag himself about the prison camp.

Again on two false legs, he worked on escape plans so that he could

once again join the fight against the Nazis.

And all you have to do in this fight against the oppression of

health by the medical nazis is take a few moments, not years like

Sheila and I have spent, and sign the petition. Sign. If not for

yourself, then for all of your mates who are in the same unhealthy

boat.

Perhaps, you should know how I became involved in this. My wife

came home from a visit with her endocrinologist, just madder than

the proverbial wet hen, exclaiming that he would not listen to her,

he only checked the lab tests. This clicked with my experience with

designing guitar amplifiers -- solid state amplifiers with the magic

of the venerable tube amps, but much lighter and far more reliable.

It also clicked with a vestige of a forgotten philsophy, Behaviorism.

As it turns out, the founding engineers made a mistaken assumption

by claiming that hearing produced no harmonics. This led to the

design philosophy of amplifiers that also did not produce harmonics -

- but musicians like the harmonics that guitar amps produce. But

the engineers designed tests to demonstrate the lack of harmonics

and refused to listen to the musicians (which is not hard to do

because they are two peoples separated by a common language with

different meanings). The engineers believed that since their tests

were " objective " and the musicians' evaluations were " subjective, "

that the musicians could not be right. But remember that the

engineers based all of their thinking on an erroneous assumption.

So when my wife complained, I immediately believed that there was

quite likely an erroneous medical assumption that was causing all

this grief. It did not take long to find it. Just read the

American Thyroid Association's position paper on 's Syndrome.

It claims, in effect, that there is a bodily function that never

fails. That in the entire population of the world, there is not one

failure of peripheral metabolism of T4 to T3. And they made this

statement without any citation or other proof. Right then, I knew

that they were wrong, dead wrong. And that started years of medical

research.

Eventually, I realized that folks like you, Sheila, and my wife were

not medically maltreated on purpose, but were collateral damage to

an antitrust (anti-competitive, unfair trading) action and

surrounding corruption. Cosequently, I started studying antitrust

law. And of course this negligent damage to all of you and a bunch

of West Virginians that are in our support group, and all those

folks that Sheila and my wife represent, is a tort of substantial

magnitude -- perhaps a trillion pounds. And finally, there are

human rights issues which are reflected in the US Constitution, so I

also studied those possibilities and believe that there is a case

there as well.

All of this legal effort produced a complaint with the US Federal

Trade Commission (the US version of your Office of Fair Trading)

that is apparently being taken seriously.

During this time my wife spoke with the people, mostly women, in our

support group for hours and hours. This is what Sheila does day in

and day out for you all.

Now is the time, as our Ben lin would say, " to hang together, "

now is the time to volunteer as Bader did. Now is the time to heed

the Churchill's echos to fight against oppression where ever it is

and never surrender. What heroic deed must you do? Sign the

petition. Now is the time to sign the petition. Help make sure

that they know this matter is important to you. Make sure that they

know your health is important to you. Make sure that your mates'

health is important to you. Please sign for the unheard millions

who are similarly afflicted.

Please do sign. Thanks, Pritchard
