Guest guest
I dont know if thats the correct term, but its my correct term, so.... Anyway, I've read that not being able to convert T4 to T3 can cause T4 toxicosis which apparently makes you feel " grotty " . But what exactly is that? Dr P thinks I may have conversion issues and suggested that if I got to 3 grains and wasnt making much progress I'd need to try T3. Now I'm at 2.5 grains. There have been some improvements in my sleep and in my puffy eyes, but it hasnt touched the fatigue or mental/brain problems. However, with the last 1/2 grain increase this week I noticed worsening fatigue and pressure in my head which I'd previously associated with too much HC, but this time its not because of HC. My adrenals are coping well; my temps were stable at 36.4 for 2 weeks before adding the 1/2 grain. The 1/2 grain increase has brought my basal temp up to 36.6 with no adrenal symptoms. My heart rate has increased just a little but there are no palps or racing heart. So I'm sure the T3 isnt too much. Which makes me think the T4 may be too much (or I'm not converting as the good doctor said). So what does T4 toxicosis feel like? As an aside, I havent had ferritin checked but I am taking iron as part of a multi min supplement as well as selenium to help with conversion. I'm also taking vit D. I have decided to start a candida program but I'm doing it very slowly so as not to beat my body up any more than it can cope with. thanks Marie
