I had back pain when my adrenals were bad. It was really more like flank pain, on the sides not in the center. When I first started taking hydrocortisone it began to go away. In the early days of HC my flank pain would increase if I was late for a dose, but would go away when I took my med. I rarely have any flank pain now (about 15 months on HC).
