Hi all,

I made the weary journey to Aberdeen on Friday to see Dr. P. I went

by bus as I have a travel card which allows free travel - horrendous

journey but financially the best option. (I am finding the money

side of this self treating a real strain) When I got to Aberdeen the

local bus to take me to Dr. P was not running due to a strike! It

was snowing and freezing and I felt extremely sorry for myself. I

took a taxi there and back as there was no other option. Anyway, Dr.

P said my adrenals are still in a right state and the times I have

been feeling terribly ill are adrenal crashes...it all makes sense

when he explains it. I am also failing to use the thyroid meds I am

taking because of this and show hyper symptoms too...I think. I have

now to take 4 NAX and 10 NA and cut back my Nutri-Throid for a couple

of weeks. I've then to phone and if things don't work out I've to go

onto Cortef. So I am still struggling to find the balance needed and

am a bit low because I am still so unwell though I know I will

eventually get there. Kim, who hosts the Aberdeen clinic and Dr. P

were both very, very nice and helpful so I am glad I went.

I have also registered with a new GP and have to make an appointment

at the end of the week. I am worried because I don't know what

rubbish my previous GP has written in my records. I am also

wondering if I should 'come clean' about Dr. P and the meds I am

taking...new GP, new start...just don't know. At the moment I am

getting physio weekly because of the dreadful joint pain - started

about 4 weeks ago. Apart from this, which was arranged through

social work, I have only been given painkillers and anti-d's by my

GP. I don't want the new GP to be the same. I know, I am rambling

now.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to all who wrote to me with kind

words and advice re. my crashes and the problems with the GP.

xx
