Guest guest
~ Did I read correctly when you said that if one purchases the iodine loading test from FFP Labs that it would include a phone consult with Dr. Flechas? I am beginning to incorporate the iodine concepts into my clinical practice and would appreciate some help in learning how to read the tests and doing the iodine loading properly. Any insights you can give would be most helpful. Also, you say you are doing a load test again...may I ask why specifically and how often does Dr. B do this, does he have a " protocol " per se that helps to follow the persons progress? Second and different topic, since I have begun to employ Iodoral in my regimen, I have noticed changes in my breast tissue, no tenderness, etc., which would be associated with high estrogens as you say. A little back ground...I have always been small breasted and have been unable to breastfeed the six children I had. I have been wondering as of late, if at some critical point in puberty that there was not enough iodine for proper breast growth and function, so NOW that my body is getting, hopefully, adequate iodine, could that stimulate some breast growth because there is now enough of the critical iodine component to facilitate proper function?? Just wanting your perspective here. Thank you in advance, > I created the pathway of iodine on my website http://www.naturalthyroidchoices.com/iodine_path_thyroid.html You can review that and see how the thyroid processes iodine for the creation of hormones. > > Yes it is different for those of us w/o a thyroid. If you had thyroid cancer I believe you need more iodine than most especially if you had RAI as I did. I believe that this is due to the symporter damage that the cells experience. There is a need for more iodine to be passing through to get the needed amounts to the cells. I just did a loading test and Dr. B will be running my results in 2 weeks or so. I am eager to see how I am doing since my last one was at 9 mos post beginning Iodine (50 mgs) and now I have been on Iodine for 2 yrs 4 mos for this last test and the last 8 1/2 mos of that time was 100 mgs. My last loading test after 9 mos on 50 mgs only increased 6% (60 to 66%) and with further testing they determined I have an organification defect along with symporter damage (these tests are not available to the general public yet).
