Proposed Operating Standards - Regional Meetings

The Individual with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA) requires states to adopt rules in support of the federal statutes and regulations. In order to assure compliance with the federal law, the Office for Exceptional Children (OEC) is proposing changes to Operating Standards for Ohio's Schools Serving Children with Disabilities. The draft proposed rules incorporate the federal regulations and include items specific to Ohio.

OEC will be making five (5) regional presentations on the following dates and times. An overview of changes to the rules will be presented and public comments will be accepted. Interested parties are urged to contact the sponsoring SERRC and reserve a spot.
