Where are the NHS Thyroid experts?

Good afternoon,

Does anybody know if there are any NHS specialists in Thyroid disease

in any of the hospital endocrinology depts in Bedfordshire/

Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire/ or thereabouts? (I believe most of them

are geared towards treating diabetes)

I can't afford to go private so I need to see somebody who knows what

they are doing on the NHS.

I have a Doctor's appointment next Wednesday and I will be asking to be

referred. (I thought it would be helpful to know in advance if there is

someone in case he says he won't or can't refer me.)

Hi Gillian,

I was looking for years in these areas (I live on the border Cambs/Beds/Herts) and then gave up, and now see someone very good in Tunbridge wells - he is on Sheila's list. You could get a NHS appointment to see him somewhere near there if you can travel.
