See below for information on a new event (I've also uploaded the

flyer to the files section of the group). Thanks. Deb Z.

Is your child interested in learning to golf?

Golf is a wonderful physical activity that can be played for a

lifetime by virtually everyone, regardless of physical limitations.

In addition to the physical benefits, golf promotes countless life

enhancing values.

…if so…

In partnership with a PGA Pro who specializes in instructing

individuals with disabilities, The Shining Light Charity, a 501©3

organization, is pleased to announce their intention to organize an

event which aims to introduce children with disabilities to the game

of golf through the use of adaptive techniques and equipment.

What do we need from you?

In order to schedule and plan the event, we need to confirm that we

have enough interested children to make it viable. If your child

(<18 years old) is interested in participating in this introduction

to golf event, please send us an e-mail(dan@...) or contact

Dan or on 440.617.9719 with the following information:

• Your name and contact information

• Your child's name

• Your child's age

• A brief description of your child's physical limitations so that

we can plan

accordingly for the required equipment

There will be no cost for the event – all we ask is that all of the

participants come ready to have fun and learn.

Even if your child has played golf before, they will benefit from

receiving specialized instruction from the Pros.

If interested, please respond as soon as possible!

Shining Light Background

The mission of the Shinig Light Charity is to raise money to benefit

organizations who provide care to critically ill infants and to

children with developmental disabilities. In the past we have

focused the distribution of funds raised to Rainbow Babies and

Children's Hospital and most recently grants were made to the

Achievement Center for Children and The Adaptive Adventure Sports

Coalition. For more information about Shining Light, visit

ww.slcgolf.org.
