Guest guest
has anyone done the research that shows that skin application is actually absorbed? I've been told this skin test is a good way of seeing how much your body absorbs/needs, but also heard that iodine will just fade with exposure to light. mine also disappears within a couple hours...... I've tested 3 times since 11/7, the first 2 were within 48 hours. I've also heard that iodine evaporates easily, so that 's why seaweed may not be a great source, is this also true? why doesn't it evaporate from salt? thank you.claireCan we not apply a 2% tincture to the skin and have it be absorbed by the body that way? I did the patch test on my inner arm and it disappeared within 6 hours or so, which means I'm deficient. So now I'm wondering why I can't just keep applying the iodine to my skin? Here's the patch test info:http://www.wellnesswithin.com/articles/Iodine%20Patch%20Test.pdf
Guest guest
I've heard that is does evaporate from salt - refined table salt. Not sure about Real Salt or Celtic Salt, but they don't have any added anyway. I've also been told that there is enough left in table salt to prevent goiter, which is very little, but not enough for good health. When I tested on my arm with the 2% tincture it was covered with a sleeve so I don't think fading due to light applies.
