wheat - spelt....

My husband sort of proudly brought home some Annie's Spelt pretzels

recently. The ingredient label's 1st ingredient is Organic wheat flour, then

organic spelt flour. Anyway, we sent our gripe to Whole Foods and Annie's.

Both responded that we should be reading the ingredient labels (true!).

But whole foods says the customer obviously doesn't realize that spelt is

wheat. Of course, I know spelt is a type of wheat, but to me the current

standard of wheat is the version with an incompatible (or higher content)

of the lectin that's incompatible to the O blood type. I find personally

that spelt seems to digest better. Just venting!! oh, and is anyone else

frustrated by all the gluten free products that are filled w/ avoids ?!
