Hi everyone

I saw Dr P yesterday - sorry was too tired to post when I got home.

I AM hypothyroid with Hashimoto's - hooray a diagnosis! That means

I'm not going mad after all. Dr P says I have been hypoT for at

least 5 years probably much longer.

I have my diary and a couple of tests on order for adrenals and

candida. Can anyone tell me if I will need to take NAX indefinitely

for life or just till my adrenals are boosted? How much should I

order? Presumably I don't take any till I've done my tests right?

After three weeks he says I can start Nutri Thyroid supplements. Any

thoughts on how may of those to order? He said they might not be

strong enough and I might want to consider 1 grain Armour.

Therefore would I be better off going straight to Armour? Money is

tight and I can't really afford to experiment with too many things

that might not be strong enough to do the job. What do you all think?

Dr P also did my Achilles reflex and said I'd be lucky if I scored 2

out of 10 for the really weak reaction he got!

I cannot tell you how relieved I am, I guess many of you can

identitfy with that.

I have been sent another appt with the NHS endo - 13th November. Dr

P thinks it will be a waste of time. anyone else have any opinions?

You were right Sheila it did feel like the first day of the rest of

my life and I don't think my symptoms are as bad as some of you

fellow thyroidians.

Sorry for the barrage of questions but look forward to hearing any

thoughts anyone might have.

Luv Sue
