Guest guest
Some doctors treat anything over 2.0. Not a lot of doctors however. I'm of the opinion that as soon as you start taking any form of thyroid medication, that the TSH blood labs are no good. For those of who supplement testosterone, it suppressed the body's own production of LH. If we used LH to determine if enough testosterone was being supplemented, most men would remain way too low. Instead, we use total and free testosterone to determine if we are getting the right amount. When it comes to thyroid, I think checking free t4 and free t3 is the way to go. I'm treating mine after getting a TSH of 1.572 after it was decreased from using Lugols Iodine from a high of 2.1. I have low morning basal temperature, low daily temperature, fatigue, tiredness, and a whole slew of other hypothyroid symptoms. Steve barbasullo wrote: > Just wondering what a TSH level should be? Guest guest
A couple of recent studies have shown that treating a TSH over 1.0 had benefit for reducing heart problems. Also that weight gains correlate with incr in TSH over 1.0. Dorothy
