Guest guest
My son has multiple disabilities, CP, just dx'd w/Pdd-nos plus severe anxiety & depression. We currently see a ped. psych who gives his meds. I really like her, however despite having BCMH (only covers vision & cp) , our insurance only covers 50% mental health. If we were to go to a dev. ped (which we had but they never got the dx right seeing what finally is actually there), it would be covered at medical at 80-90%. I contacted our local Mental Health & recovery for funding but was told they contract through one local agency, which is not ours. I don't want to change drs again and he's without a counselor until we can find the funding (he's really aspie characteristics which the school also doesn't acknowledge). Any thoughts?? We're on waiver waiting list which in our county (Ashland) will never be filled (only renewals) and are "just above" Medicaid income levels. Thanks, Jackie
