bit of a problem

Hi everybody

I am having a bit of a problem with my heart.

I was on 50mcg thyroxine for about 6 months, and since it wasn't doing the job

I decided

to then take armour. I started out with about a quarter of a grain, then up to

half with no

problems. I then got a bit over ambitious and went on to a third of a pill,

twice daily, for

around 3 days, probably a bit too soon. ( a pill being one and a half grains)

because I felt

as if I was going a bit hypo.

A couple of days later now I am back down to a quarter of a pill now twice

daily, but

noticing my heartbeat when normally I would not be aware of it. I have been

taking my

blood pressure and pulse with the monitor, and it is a bit over responsive. If

I am in bed it

is low pulse ( 70) and normal bp,(120 over 72)

but during normal activities, like making a meal, it has put up the pulse and

the bp has

dropped. Just now sitting on my chair in the living room, I have measured bp of

103 over

52 and a pulse of 92, I am aware of it beating and it is a bit disconcerting.

My normal bp previous to taking armour would be slightly high, say 140 over 87

as a

typical figure, but don't really know what the pulse was but would guess around

70 or so.

Taken it again, (around 15 minutes later) and it is now 131 over 82 with pulse

of 86.

Some advice please!
