Guest guest
Hi Doug: I took a look at your website posted below. I am not clear on what it is offering. For example, my mother has a mutated gene for both breast and ovarian cancer. Are you suggesting that your company will be able to detect something like that and then prescribe a nutrition and supplement course they should follow? Also, can taking iodine effect the outcome for someone if they have a genetic mutation for a certain disease or illness? Since this is personal, I am so curious about it. And if anyone on this support group can guide me to a site to research this more, please do. Thanks, From: Penta <d.penta@...>Subject: Re: Hiiodine Date: Sunday, July 13, 2008, 11:32 PM Hi Gracia... As you know ,iodine has been very well documented to have a significant impact on gene expression.. . it is very hard to generalize about how much a particular clinical doctor is going to know about this topic , since it largely depends on how much the information relates to their particular field.... for me, the discussion about gene regulation centers around breast cancer and choriocarcinoma in particular. The reason I have become passionate about the company I have joined is because it is bringing this information objectively to the forefront and there will be no way that this information cannot have a more significant impact on clinical medicine. I am receiving an education from the medical staff and researchers and from olympic trainers and the data that is continuing to be uncovered by the company is huge. It is individuals in a group such as this that would be especially well served by the information offered by the company and can benefit regardless of whether you join the company or not. If anyone wants to learn more from the downloads available or the articles sited you can go do the company website at www.mygenewize. com/gensite ..... the research staff is second to none and the main company is very well established and respected for many years: Gene Link. Re: Hi hi Doug do doctors understand that iodine affects genetic expression? well I mean docs like you Gracia I joined this group to see what is developing in the area of nutragenetics with respect to the thyroid..... I have recently been introduced to DNA targeted nutrition where nutrition is evaluated based on the analysis of certain gene focus and their expression. It is amazing how much objective information is being discovered about nutrition through the evaluation of DNA. If you want to contribute to my group I just started please do.... I am very excited about learning as much as I can about this topic.... thanks Doug Penta MD (my group is DNA targeted nutrition)
