Thanks to all for your input - I will update all on what happened at the interview yesterday when I get a minute this evening. Thanks again!

I agree, the Principal's attitude about inclusion and what it really means is key to what happens in a school. I also believe that not all kids are best served being included, if it's not right it can be even more dentrimental than helpful.

I would ask questions about the integration of special needs kids in typical classrooms. Specifically, I would look for a principal who would base the decision on what is best for the child, rather than believing that all special needs kids should be integrated or vice versa.

Our wonderful principal is leaving and I was asked to be on the parent/community interview committee to ask questions of the candidates that are up for the position. I am going to the meeting tomorrow so I need your reponses by then, if possible. We ALL know what we want but........I wanted to ask the experts - what questions would YOU ask if you were on the interview committee.

I want to cover everything - given the chance. I want to make sure I ask the right questions to weed out someone who is not going to do what is needed for special needs. Anyway...... ........I would love your input.

Thank you in advance for any advice, questions, etc. you throw my way!
