Tiffani,

Another group that you might be interested in is MNNaturalMothering.

It is similar to this one in philosophy, but also focuses on mothering

issues... pregnancy, childbirth, attachment parenting, nursing, feeding your

family, vaccination issues, etc. When I moved to MN from IL I was very

nervous about finding doctors. I had homebirths in IL and homebirth doctors

are very different from " regular " doctors. They are all about the patient

being in charge of their own health care. I got a referral for myself and

for my boys from that group and have been happy with who I have seen in the

practices that I have gone too. I know if I ever have another baby, though,

if I want a homebirth in MN I will have to find a lay midwife. The nurse

practitioner I saw in the OB/GYN practice was cool, but not that cool.

Anyway, all that to say... check out MNNaturalMothering.

oh, and our doctors are in Chaska so that really doesn't help you. :(

Tiffani,

I don't know about the doctor question, but I have been taking cod liver oil

(one tsp morning and night) and bee pollen (one tsp morning and night) and

have noticed improvement in similar problems. Also, I'm sure that kefir and

coconut oil have helped also.

Red raspberry tea is supposed to be really good for pregnant moms and good for

women just in general.

Oh, somewhere I have a list of herbs that my midwives gave me with one of my

previous pregnancies. This is a list of herbs that you should avoid while

pregnant. I wish I had a list of herbs that is good to take while pregnant.

Anyway, if you'd like my list of " no-no herbs while pregnant " I'll try to

find it.
