Guest guest
I have watched and read all of your comments about Iodine I even bought some Lugol's solution. I used it once I gained 3 pounds overnight. I know Dr. Brownstien says we need iodine, but please tell me why does Dr. Ray Peat talking to Shoman say we need to stay away from iodine if we have Thyroid Problems? I have no idea if Shoman agrees or not ( " This is a Quote from Dr. Peat from this link BELOW. " " Shomon: Do you think the majority of people with hypothyroidism get too much or too little iodine? Should people with hypothyroidism add more iodine, like kelp, seaweeds, etc.? Dr. Ray Peat: 30 years ago, it was found that people in the US were getting about ten times more iodine than they needed. In the mountains of Mexico and in the Andes, and in a few other remote places, iodine deficiency still exists. Kelp and other sources of excess iodine can suppress the thyroid, so they definitely shouldn't be used to treat hypothyroidism. " PLease read Dr. Ray Peat is very intelligent and so is Shoman. http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/ray-peat.htm I am totally confused! Can anyone give me straight and direct answers about our Thyroids and are we all doing the right thing by taking iodine? Yes, I saw Dr. Brownsteins DVD, it was very good. Do I agree I do not know? I want the best for all of us. Thanks Sunny
