Huge congrats! Lillie

You are doing so great. And remember to rejoice in these little

milestones, as you did, because you will need these to remind you of

the miracle when the dreaded plateau hits. Remember to measure

yourself too, this kept me from hari-cari many of times.

Keep up the good work, and the joy in the journey...this is just the

begining!

Hey Guys,

I absolutely hate my hubbys old beat up Ford ranger pickup. Well he

is making some " under the table cash by delivering Phone books this week.

Anyway, I wasn't ever able to drive it much as I never able to fit behind the

steering wheel. It was so small and my belly would rub so bad I could hardly

steer. Anyway, I went with him and and drove the truck while they each

took one side of the street delivering! My belly didn't even touch the wheel. I

don't understand...I look at myself and I see so much fat left, but then

something like this happens and I can't figure it out. Like last night

left

her jogging shorts in my room. They were a little baggy on her, and I

thought... " I'm gonna try it " . Anyway they weren't baggy but they fit...LOL. She

was

seething!! Where I have belly she has hips! I think if I had a panni, My hips

would be smaller than hers...(But don't tell her that!)

Nice to hear from you, Lillie! And your weight loss is GREAT! Yes,

this surgery is truly a miracle. I never ever would have been a

success with the RNY. Thank God for Dr. K!

Tracey

> Well I spent part of the day yesterday with 1 of the 2 RNY's in

the family. She had her surgery in Aug and is very happy with her

weight loss but couldn't believe what I can eat and she can't. A

friend who was there and watched me eat said neither of the 2 girls

can eat that kind of or amount of food. I was funny to me the first

one with the RNY wanted me to have that surgery and have it lap. But

I checked out all options before I made my choice and I KNOW I made

the right choice.

one either. But we'll be thinling about you while we're enjoying a nice

cruise we've been planning on since last March. We'll take lots of

pictures and let you know how it goes.

BTW.. Kinsey, wish we were around to lend you a hand. We'll be back in

It sure does! Just imagine shouting directions at you - Now LIFT that arm up in the air and gently stroke down. Now BEND and push that roller in the pan, now STRETCH up as high as you can!

No formal exercise in the> morning, but at least 4 hours of rolling,

Just watch your neck if you have any back problems. One of the worst flare-ups of my neuritis occurred after I painted a small bedroom when we were preparing to sell our house when we moved to FL. The doc said it was all the looking upwards that pinched the nerve again.

Just write an estimate, the best you remember. Nobody is grading you on this journal. :)

And according to caloriesperhour.com, painting burns about 350> calories per hour for someone my age/size, etc...

It's hard work! And probably burns even *more* calories if you have to go up and down a ladder.

> 338/272/268 (mini-goal)

I'm starting to catch up to you. This morning I was down to 276.5. I was last there last May. My long term goal is the same as it's been since 2000 when I started this journey - to get back to 250, my pre-pregnancy weight (even though the "baby" is now 22), and my mini-goal is to get back under 270, last seen in 2004.

First the left then the right. This letter stuck in my head and I could actually see him saying that.LOL I got 100 stretches in there in just a short period of time.LOL

*lol* If I had read this before repainting one wall in another room

today, I would've been cracking up the entire time :)

Thankfully, no problems...yet. Well, I'm a teensy bit sore in the

shoulders, but isn't that to be expected?

this jump start week is the beginning of something really good for

you. :-)

YEAH Bonnie!

And PLEASE never, decide nto to do something because of your weight.

For instance I know a lot of people won't do swim/water exercise because of

their weight. I have to tell you people do not care if you are over weight or

not. They are doing their own thing, and have too much in their own life going

on to worry about you. Yet, you (as a whole, not personally), are letting them

dictate what you will let yourself do. Abusing yourself in a way. Using it to

hold you back. Once I said, who cares what others think. I rarely get any one

say a word about or to me about it. And if they did, that's their problem, they

are too stupid to mind their own business. I'm not going to let some stupid

people hold me back from living my life.

So you go girl! And it's a great form of exercise! You will be dropping pounds

like a mad woman! lol

Good for you!

So many different schools of thought on this one, but the last I heard is

that although tea, coffee, and other drinks with caffeine in them are

dehydrating, the effect is so small that it doesn't matter, so if you prefer

to drink tea instead of plain water, go right ahead, and you can count it

towards your daily water allotment.

When Henry took lessons back in the early elementary years (before the city

required that all students wear protective devices if the class has any

contact during practice punches) the husband/wife who taught the course were

both big people, yet moved with ease.

Congrats! It should be a lot of fun!

I know nothing ever held Ann back. I think the pics of her and her

daughters roller blading are still in our Photo section, and she's always

out there on her bike, at the pool, building furniture, etc.

I wrote that quickly and decided to not put in all the reasons. I

don't usually let my weight/appearance keep me from anything (I've

always gone swimming, even at my heaviest, at public pools). It

wasn't *really* that, it was the fact that my knees are touchy. And

with the extra weight, I'm not sure about high kicks and all that. I

think in another 30-40 pounds, I'd have little to worry about...but

right now, that's what really made me hesitate. I spoke with Master

, though, and he tells me I have no worries...it's a

move-at-your-own-pace kind of class. I'd love to get back into

rollerblading. Last time I tried it, my ankles killed me for a week.

I got rid of them, and now there's the cost factor of buying new

ones. Have the cost factor with biking, too--but we're going to get

bikes relatively soon, with any luck. The kids are set, it's just

Bill and I that need them. And I'd like a trailer so when the kids

just feel like doing that, I can get some real miles under my belt :)

So the comment about me being the only chubby girl in there was like

5% of my hesitation...it's all the other factors that had me concerned.

Anyway... :)
