Guest guest
Hello all, I've been on 100mcg Levothyroxine for some years now and it doesn't address many of my hypo symptoms. I'm thinking of switching over to Armour. Does anyone have any tips on what Armour dosage to pitch for. I know I need to start off low and build up but I'm not sure what range I should expect my optimal dose to be in. Looking at the Armour website it says that 100mcg of Lev = approx 1 grain Armour. Does this mean I should be looking to stop raising when I reach 1 grain?
Guest guest
Hi Tcindysins, It's not quite that simple, as T4 is only one hormone and the Armour has several including T3 which works very quickly. Look in the files and see the document 'how to take Armour' but 100mcg isn't that high a dose of T4, so you may do just fine with a dose increase- what were you last tests ( with ranges) ? Subject: switching to armour hey Shelia i am on 100mcg of t4 only at the moment and i am experiencing hair loss and extreme coldness in my limbs i would like to switch to armour what will the dose be ? thanks ------------------------------------ TPA is not medically qualified.
