Hello Sheila- My GP placed me on EVOTROX after experiancing problems. I am now on the third bottle.

My back and bladder get painful in the night, and is helped by spending a penny. I have a DUPLEX KIDNEY, but am told kidney tests are ok, and I am told that they cannot find out the cause of the pain.

I have had an MRI scan on the lower spine, and there is a problem with it, but I ask the Specialist if there was anything causing a bowel or bladder problem and the answer was NO, but my GP now says that it does not mean that there is nothing causing it but that they can't see what is wrong.

I cannot take painkillers as in turn they make constipation worse that causes chest infection. Antibiotics are also out.

After a visit doing a sale at a school the back and bladder pain got very bad and had a job to get out of bed.

In the past I have stopped taking thyroxine and the pain has got better plus feeling better.This time I stopped the EVOTROX and again the pain got better, and I felt better.

A little while before this the EVOTROX had hurt my throat to take it, and during the night my throat got very sore and in the end was sick and bought up blood granules, and the throat got better. My GP said if I do not take it that I would become very ill in a few months, but he is not prepared to send me to the PAIN CLINIC for alternative pain relief (external pain relief due to effects of drugs). He has also said that he cannot do much more for me

The origins of the thyroid problem exist because my Mother had either part or all the thyroid gland removed due to TB. My Mother was never on thyroxine, but there are problems in our family and have come across articles that it could cause the abnormal kidney.

My Daughter also has the problem which has caused her to lose pregnancies. The last baby has suffered extensive brain damage due to the blood not reaching her before birth, (she is now 7) and my Daughter was on thyroxine but she did not leave many months before having one daughter and the next.

Are you able to come up with an answer to why the back and bladder pain disappear with stopping the thyroxine, and could it if fact cause me problems like other drugs (become a toxin), or is it due to being a type of sodium and the effect on my kidneys, as I do not have any SALT, and have become vegetarian using SOYA MILK AND YOGHURTS for protein.

On having LEMON AND HONEY which is supposed to be good for ones kidneys I felt suddenly tired after this. As my GP can no longer do any more what sort of alternative HEALTH ADVISER could I approach for some advice and help. I have after a few days rest from EVOTROX resumed today a small ammount, but could not go on if the pain comes back. I am also being treated for LICHEN SCLEROSUS with DERMOVATE ointment, which the GP should have treated a few years back, as this had been treated in the past.
