Guest guest
I was reading in the links section about taking vit c and iodine at the same time. I know there was a big discussion about this awhile back. Did we ever come to a conclusion about whether or not it is ok to take them together? Also, if we should separate, how many hours should we wait between taking the two. Deb
Guest guest
Dr. Brownstein has me taking them together. If there was an issue I am sure he would not do this. vitamin c and iodine >I was reading in the links section about taking vit c and iodine at the > same time. Guest guest
I was just talking to Dr. B and asked him about it. He said in theory it is possible but not probable and he takes his iodine with vit C as well. So I am following the advice of the top iodine doc vs a person who has written a book about iodine and is not involved in the project of studying and using iodine in practice (nothing against MJ Fahey by the way I like her). vitamin c and iodine I was reading in the links section about taking vit c and iodine at the same time. Guest guest
I know, I've gone Iodine crazy. Drinking it straight with water gives me the medicinal taste, but it feels so good and so clean. When your body kicks in with the Iodine (you're taking enough to keep up with the body's needs) you won't have to wonder if you're getting it, you'll know for all the wonderful feel better experiences you'll have. Also, make sure you're taking the support vitamins and minerals so the blahs aren't from detox. Would the interaction of the vitamin C in the drink affect the iodine? Thank You A vitamin c and iodine I was reading in the links section about taking vit c and iodine at the same time. Guest guest
Yes. Vitamin C oxidizes iodine. Apple cider Vinegar is the Vinegar that I use on my tacos and sure is strong and pleasant to the taste. Do you mean something more like apple cider drink? Guest guest
- I also have lyme disease and endocrine issues. Your post brings up the issue some of us have here with having a chronic illness (lyme) that stresses our many systems and does not allow us to push as hard with things that cause detox. I have had some trouble taking even the smallest doses of things. I have only been able to tolerate 1/2 of an iodoral tablet and even have to skip some days. Any more causes detox problems for me and over stimulation. That is why I would like to know more about 1. taking kelp instead ( lets assume I have a pure source) or something like 2. detoxified iodine 3. or nascent iodine I would like to know if any of these options would be less stressful on me than taking the iodoral or lugols. Thanks in advance to anyone who be be of help to some of us here who have issues like this. PJ
Guest guest
If you are taking Lugol's solution, I would wait at least an hour. However if you are taking Iodoral there is not problem taking them together as the tablet is coated to pass to the small intestine before it dissolves. Vitamin C and Iodine I was about to take my Lugol's...But I just took vitamin C along with a bunch of other supplements. I think I read that vitamin C shouldn't be taken with iodine, that it might interfere. Is that correct? If so, how how far apart should vitamin C and iodine be taken?
